Chiropractors are medical professionals who diagnose and treat disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. They incorporate traditional diagnostic testing methods such as x-ray, MRI and lab work along with specific orthopedic/neurological testing to properly diagnose many different conditions. Chiropractors elect not to prescribe medications or perform surgery, however, we do work closely with medical doctors.

Chiropractic philosophy teaches one of the main causes of pain and disease is the misalignment of the vertebrae. Vertebrae are the small bones in your back that make up your spinal column. They are intertwined with ligaments, nerves & soft tissues. This complex system known as the spinal column has many functions. A misalignment can contribute to a number of health problems and pain.

When one of these bones is misaligned it is called a subluxation or misalignment. By the use of spinal manipulation, chiropractors are able to relieve pressure and irritation of the nerves to restore joint mobility and help the body return to its proper balance often times without the use of surgery or expensive prescriptions.
